Terms of Service

Verdict ("the Service") is a Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) AI-powered Packaging Intelligence Platform operated by Therefore Design ("we", "us", "Therefore"), with its registered office in Mumbai, India. The Service applies Therefore Design's proprietary 7-dimension packaging audit framework — Brand alignment, E-commerce shelf, Aisle resiliency, Traditional retail in India, Distinctiveness, Information hierarchy, and Audience fit — to user-uploaded packaging artwork, and produces written critiques, numeric scores, and shareable PDF reports.

The Service relies on third-party large language models (currently Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, and OpenAI GPT, accessed via Emergent Labs) to generate the natural-language portions of the audit. Outputs are advisory and should not be treated as guaranteed market predictions.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By signing in via Google you confirm that the Google account belongs to you, and that the email address it carries is one you control.

Internal users of Therefore Design (anyone signing in with a @thereforedesign.co.in email or any allowlisted email) access the Service under Therefore's internal commercial terms and are not subject to the billing provisions below. External users are subject to all sections of these Terms including billing.

External users purchase "audit credits" to run audits. 1 credit covers one full 7-dimension assessment or one variation pack inside a variation comparison. Credits are stored in your in-app wallet and do not expire.

Prices, bundle sizes, and currencies are shown on the /pricing page. All amounts are in INR unless otherwise stated and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless the order summary explicitly states otherwise. We may revise prices at any time; revisions apply only to new purchases — credits already in your wallet retain their value.

Payments are processed by Razorpay (a PCI-DSS certified Indian payment processor). We do not store full card details. We retain transaction metadata — order ID, payment ID, amount, currency, time, and product reference — for reconciliation, tax, and dispute purposes.

New external users may receive a complimentary audit credit on first sign-in, as described on the /pricing page. The complimentary credit is non-transferable, cannot be redeemed for cash, and is granted at most once per email address. Therefore reserves the right to modify or discontinue the complimentary-credit program at any time without notice; modifications do not affect credits already granted.

You agree NOT to use the Service to: (a) upload artwork you do not own or are not authorised to evaluate; (b) probe, scan, or reverse-engineer the Service; (c) attempt to extract the underlying audit framework prompts; (d) submit content that is illegal, infringing, hateful, sexually explicit involving minors, or otherwise abusive; (e) resell audit credits or grant access to your account to third parties; (f) use the Service to train competing AI models.

Violations may result in immediate suspension of your account and forfeiture of unused credits without refund.

The 7-dimension audit framework, the prompts, the studio-branded PDF report layout, and the Service itself are the intellectual property of Therefore Design. You may freely use the audit outputs (scores, critiques, PDFs) internally, with clients, and in pitches. You may not redistribute the audit framework or prompts as your own product.

Artwork you upload remains yours. By uploading, you grant us a limited license to process it through the LLM providers solely for the purpose of generating your audit, and to store the audit and a thumbnail in your project history for as long as your account is active.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS". AUDITS ARE ADVISORY OUTPUTS OF AI MODELS APPLYING A HUMAN-DESIGNED FRAMEWORK; THEY ARE NOT GUARANTEES OF MARKET PERFORMANCE, SALES UPLIFT, OR LEGAL/REGULATORY COMPLIANCE. THEREFORE DESIGN MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, REGARDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

You are responsible for validating audit recommendations against your own market knowledge, brand context, and regulatory environment before making production decisions.

To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, Therefore Design's total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service — whether in contract, tort, or otherwise — shall not exceed the total amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or INR 10,000, whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity.

You may terminate your account at any time by writing to info@thereforedesign.co.in. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, or in connection with discontinuing the Service, with reasonable notice where feasible. Unused credits in good-standing accounts are eligible for refund as per the Refund Policy.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or relating to the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra.

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email and via a banner on the Service at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
